As part of our ongoing platform modernization, we will begin migrating our hosting nodes from CentOS to AlmaLinux 8 starting Saturday, March 26th, 2022 between 1:00AM and 6:00AM EDT. AlmaLinux is a community-driven, binary-compatible successor to CentOS that ensures we continue receiving timely security updates and long-term support for the foundation our services run on.
This migration takes advantage of our network's redundancy, and accounts are moved node-by-node so the impact to any individual customer is minimal. Your sites, email, databases, and DirectAdmin settings carry over unchanged, and no further action is required on your part. During the cutover of your specific node you may witness a brief period of increased latency or a short reconnection as services come back online.
