Following the official release of PHP 8.0 on November 26th, 2020, we have scheduled a maintenance window for Monday, November 30th, 2020, between 2:00AM and 6:00AM EST to make the new version available across our shared and reseller platforms. After this window, customers running CloudLinux will be able to select PHP 8.0 on a per-domain basis through the PHP Selector in DirectAdmin.
As PHP 8.0 introduces meaningful changes, we recommend testing your applications against it before switching your production sites; existing PHP versions will remain available so you can migrate at your own pace. This work takes advantage of our network's redundancy, and the most you should witness are brief periods of increased latency as services are cycled. No further action is required on your part.
